Orange Corners Designs and The Craft + Design Institute (CDI) are on a mission to revolutionise entrepreneurship through Design Thinking. During our inaugural Creative Exchange (CX) session, Nkgadimeng Ramela and Lebuhang Rabi from the Gauteng Tourism Authority shared insights on economic opportunities for creative entrepreneurs within the tourism industry in South Africa, from cultural festivals and themed restaurants to local art and craft markets.
Luyanda Tshiqi, founder of Liplanka shared: “At first, I didn’t see any value for Liplanka in the tourism sector. But after attending the session, I realised the potential partnerships with hotels and the GTA could be incredibly beneficial!”
