Ever wondered what it’s really like to go through an Orange Corners incubation or acceleration programme? We can tell you, but it’s even better to hear it directly from those who did it before you. Rukaiya Mohammed Ameen, who graduated from our Orange Corners Ghana programme two years ago, shared her experiences on LinkedIn.
“Reflecting on my journey with Orange Corners Ghana (2022) – By Rukaiya Mohammed Ameen
Two years ago, I had the incredible opportunity to be part of the Orange Corners Ghana programme, an initiative by the Kingdom of the Netherlands designed to empower young entrepreneurs in Africa and the Middle East. This transformative experience was more than just a business development programme — it was a platform that helped me refine my vision, expand my network and position my businesses, Rukkys Shito and Naturals, as vehicles for sustainable change.
Through tailored training, mentorship, funding and facilities, I learned to harness innovation to solve local challenges while contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The programme’s focus on sustainability, coupled with the support of partners like Fidelity Bank Ghana, Vivo Energy, PwC Ghana and Allianz Life Ghana, ensured that our businesses were not only impactful but also future-ready.
Today, as I continue to scale my ventures under ecosystem support such as Keldork Global Innovations and Blocks of Change, I remain deeply grateful for the lessons, collaborations and friendships Orange Corners brought into my life. To the current cohort and aspiring entrepreneurs: leverage this opportunity fully! Dream big, think sustainably and create solutions that leave a lasting impact on your communities.
Thank you, Orange Corners Ghana, for believing in my vision and for championing innovation and entrepreneurship across Africa. Together, we are driving change, one business at a time!
