And we’re live in Bangladesh! Some pictures from the official launch, which took place last week during the 8th Social Business Youth Summit in Dhaka.
Ambassador of the Netherlands to Bangladesh Anne van Leeuwen was present at the opening ceremony: “Entrepreneurship contributes to innovation and reduction of unemployment. The Netherlands stand ready to assist young Bangladeshis in their entrepreneurial journey through the Orange Corners programme.”
Orange Corners programme advisor Bangladesh Mike Sips also joined in the celebrations: “I’m thrilled that we’re able to start an Orange corners hub in Dhaka. There are many young people that have a strong drive to solve local challenges through entrepreneurship.”
In Bangladesh, in three years Orange Corners aims to create some 180 jobs for youth and provide 120+ entrepreneurs (50% women) with increased confidence, competencies, skills and leadership capabilities. To achieve this, we partner with YY Ventures, the Bangladesh Youth Leadership Center (BYLC) and the SAJIDA Foundation.
