In the heart of Erbil, Lanay Natural Products is making waves. This youth-owned enterprise is testament to the entrepreneurial spirit of its founder, Orange Corners Erbil graduate Amez Abdullah. Amez is a Kurdish entrepreneur whose proactive approach to business has led her to establish one of the few female-led ventures in Iraq. Her journey is marked by courage and determination, embodying the resilience of both the entrepreneur and her business.
With the support of the Orange Corners Innovation Fund (OCIF), Amez managed to scale her production to 50,000 shampoo bottles monthly, meeting the demand for high-quality natural cosmetics in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
