In June 2024, all Orange Corners implementing partners came to The Hague for the Orange Corners Connect Days, a week full of strategic sessions and to get to know each other and the NL ecosystem better. The highlight of the week was undoubtedly the networking event on Thursday morning, where we invited our contacts in the NL ecosystem to meet our local partners. Our aim? To foster connections between the Netherlands and the countries we work with!
One such connection was formed between Daniël van der Kolk, founder of LiveLearn and remote talent hub LIGGÉEY, and Larissa Byll-Cataria, director of Orange Corners Burundi implementing partner 3hi Africa. Since last year, LIGGÉEY has accelerated digitalisation and automation in Europe through partnerships that create remote job opportunities in Dakar, Senegal. Working with Orange Corners Senegal implementing partner Ignite.E, LIGGÉEY has successfully trained and placed over 2,000 professionals in key digital roles, including software and app developers and digital marketing experts.
Now, through their newly formed partnership with 3hi Africa, LIGGÉEY aims to replicate this success in Burundi and Rwanda. The goal is to attract and train top digital talent in these countries, providing affordable support to European SMEs looking to enhance their digital capabilities.
This partnership marks a significant step forward in strengthening the digital bridge between Africa and Europe, benefiting both regions by creating remote job opportunities in Africa while helping European businesses drive innovation and growth.
