AstraZeneca fuels growth of promising Orange Corners Jordan startups

Private partners play an indispensable role in nurturing young entrepreneurial talent, offering not just crucial financial backing to our programmes, but also invaluable mentorship and industry expertise. This synergy is vital to create vibrant and resilient entrepreneurial ecosystems.

AstraZeneca‘s recent commitment of €30,000 to Orange Corners Jordan stands as a testament to the transformative impact private sector partners can have. This substantial investment allowed Orange Corners Jordan implementing partner iPARK to provide extended support to some standout startups of our first cohort in Jordan. After their standard incubation training, they’re provided with an extra year of mentoring and other incubation services.

The lucky startups – TechCare, ShipDip and Tourstify – were selected for their innovative solutions and growth potential.

  • TechCare is making waves in the healthcare sector with its advanced diabetes management application. The platform provides tools for patients to adhere to treatment plans, share experiences and support each other, aiming to empower users to manage their condition more effectively, reduce healthcare costs and avoid serious complications.
  • ShipDip is set to revolutionise logistics with its innovative platform that connects merchants to experienced freight forwarders. The company aspires to become a leading global logistics provider, streamlining shipping processes for businesses of all sizes.
  • Tourstify is transforming the travel experience with its platform designed for global travelers to share trip costs, experiences and adventures. Its standout feature, an AI travel assistant named Petra, helps users navigate new cities and plan personalised trips, making travel more seamless and enjoyable.

Earlier this year, TechCare was the winner of the 2024 Queen Rania Entrepreneurship Competition, receiving their prize from Princess Sumaya bint Hassan during the first-ever Orange Corners Jordan graduation ceremony.

Since beginning their post-incubation in March 2024, these startups have settled into their new offices at iPARK. The iPARK team has already started providing essential mentoring, consultancy and support services, setting the stage for a year of accelerated growth and development.

This collaboration between Orange Corners Jordan and AstraZeneca underscores the crucial role of private sector support in fostering innovative young businesses. By investing in promising startups, private partners not only drive economic growth but also fuel innovation and development across diverse industries.
