Orange Corners Côte d’Ivoire: major advances in agripreneurship in 2024

A key milestone for Orange Corners Côte d’Ivoire! Last month we celebrated the graduation of the first two cohorts of the new Soloagropreneurs track, launched in January 2024. Soloagropreneurs is dedicated to supporting young Ivorian entrepreneurs in the horticulture and cocoa value chains. Implemented by ESPartners, this programme aims to promote sustainable, inclusive and innovative agriculture while contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals.

After a year marked by remarkable results – more than 70 entrepreneurs supported, average sales growth of 86%, and more than 75 jobs created – the graduation ceremony for these cohorts was held on December 20, 2024, in Abidjan-Cocody.

The event showcased the achievements of the entrepreneurs and the significant impact of Orange Corners on local communities, while giving a voice to the partners and entrepreneurs supported. It was a unique opportunity to highlight the importance of such initiatives in the economic development of Côte d’Ivoire.

This graduation ceremony concluded an exceptional year for agricultural entrepreneurship in Côte d’Ivoire. Participants celebrated conclusive results, the fruit of structured and innovative support.

Remarkable growth and tangible impact

Launched in January 2024, Orange Corners Côte d’Ivoire has set the goal of supporting 350 entrepreneurs operating in the horticulture and cocoa value chains between 2024 and 2028. To date, 70 young entrepreneurs have benefited from tailor-made coaching through three specific tracks: Agroinnovateurs, Soloagropreneurs and Agrocatalyst. Over 50% of the participating entrepreneurs were women.

For entrepreneurs like Baba Diarassouba, the programme represented a real breath of fresh air: “Thanks to this training, I was able to lay the solid foundations for my project and acquire the fundamentals of business management. It gave me the confidence I needed to get started”, he confides with emotion.

A forward-looking vision

Backed by strategic partnerships and a proven methodology, Orange Corners Côte d’Ivoire has established itself as a catalyst for economic and social transformation in Côte d’Ivoire, with a focus on innovation and inclusiveness. Calls for applications, open on social networks such as Facebook and LinkedIn, offer young Ivorians the opportunity to take part in this dynamic.
