ORANGE CORNERS SUDAN WELCOMES THREE MAJOR SUDANESE PARTNERS

On 24 January, Orange Corners Sudan celebrates the start of its first six-month incubation programme for 20 Sudanese entrepreneurs in Khartoum. The programme in Sudan is executed by entrepreneurship platform 249 Startups and in partnership with Sudanese companies: Haggar Group, Elnefeidi Group and Salih Abdelrahman Yagoub group. These Sudanese companies are motivated to help build new businesses and contribute to the economy of Sudan. During the official opening, all three companies were represented by there CEO’s who engaged in the contract signing ceremony.

Ambassador of the Kingdom of The Netherlands to Sudan Dr. Karin Boven: “Our mission is to establish an innovative support system for entrepreneurs in Sudan and truly partner with them in their business journeys. Orange Corners gives young promising entrepreneurs the change to further develop their innovative and entrepreneurial skills. At the same time, it serves as a bridge between these innovative entrepreneurs and local and international companies. This makes Orange Corners a great benefit to all parties involved”.

During the event the 20 entrepreneurs who were chosen after an intensive bootcamp session were introduced and they got to pitch their business ideas to the team, partners, embassy, and their friends and family. One of the chosen entrepreneurs, who found a technological solution for kettle welfare in Sudan, brought his live goat on to the stage to give a small demonstration during his pitch.
