This year we expanded from just one to seven hubs ánd we launched OCIF in Egypt. Of course, we celebrated these milestones with an epic celebration at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands in Egypt. In addition to our Orange Corners Programme Advisor for Egypt Milou Derks, esteemed guests also included NL Ambassador to Egypt Peter Mollema, NL Youth Ambassador Jurriaan Middelhoff and Abdallah Sallam, CEO of our private partner Madinat Masr.
During their speeches, they all highlighted the significance of Orange Corners as a transformative initiative for young entrepreneurs driving innovation. Afterwards, both guests and partners explored the exhibitions, engaged with the entrepreneurs, and exchanged insights on the future of entrepreneurship in Egypt.
The most important changes that come with the expansion? We’ve shifted our focus from incubation to acceleration, now working exclusively with existing companies – especially innovative SMEs. For the next few years, our sectoral focus will be on climate and water smart agriculture, energy and waste, supporting 130 entrepreneurs annually across 7 hubs!
